Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks a visitor's browser to store, later read back on a subsequent visit to recognize that browser or record something about the earlier visit. NameCraftly itself does not set any cookie directly, since none of its generators require remembering a visitor between sessions.

Cookies this site uses

Google Analytics, running on every page, is the source of the cookies actually present on this site. Typical among these are _ga, which distinguishes one visitor from another anonymously, and _ga_ followed by a site-specific identifier, which tracks session duration. Neither cookie contains a name, an email address, or any other directly identifying information; Google associates them with a randomly generated identifier rather than a real identity.

These cookies are set the first time a page loads and generally expire after a period defined by Google, typically extending to a year or two for the visitor-distinguishing cookie, though the exact duration is controlled by Google and may change without a corresponding update to this page.

Managing cookies

A cookie set by Analytics can be blocked or deleted through any modern browser's settings, usually under a privacy or site-data section specific to that browser. Blocking these cookies does not affect a generator's function in any way, since none of the tools on this site read or depend on a cookie to operate. Analytics simply receives less information about that particular visit once its cookies are blocked.

Browser extensions built specifically to block tracking scripts, several of which are available for every major browser, prevent Google Analytics from loading at all rather than merely blocking its cookies after the fact. Either approach, blocking the cookies or blocking the script, achieves broadly the same outcome from a visitor's perspective.

This policy may be updated if a future change to the site introduces a cookie beyond what Analytics currently sets.
